Description :
 A decent right is formed from swell building up against the pier. Jump in the water from the pier for a good laugh. Southerly cross-shore winds are blocked by the pier and can still result in a clean wave.


Directions :
 Again, follow the coast road in Sunderland going north. Past the marina on your right, Roker is the second pier.

Comments about  Roker Pier
Just tried surfing the pier for the first time, waves looked good posssibly too big for myself (novice). The tide was dropping and i'v just found out a strong rip pulls back along the pier out to sea scary experience!!. im sure this is common knowledge but if not and you are as inexperienced as me take care.
