Surf is the face height at the beach after the swell is filtered for the way East Runton faces. Arrows show where the swell and wind are heading. Tide is the height at Cromer above chart datum, rising ↑ or falling ↓; the rating drops when the tide is outside the window this break works on. Amber marks the sessions worth setting an alarm for. From Wednesday the swell comes from Météo-France's 10-day model, which is coarser than the 5 km German model used close in. Hours no model reaches are left blank, not shown as flat.
Exposure
East Runton faces north-east. Swell inside the lit window reaches the beach; anything from behind the headlands scores nothing, however big the buoy says it is.

- Tide
- high tide.
- Getting there
- Just North of Cromer
East Runton picks up any swell and as such is usually the first point of call for local surfers. A Beach break with evil shorey. If the winds are cross shore don't bother as the rip is killer. Best conditions are northerly ground swell with light off shore breeze. Can get blown out easily but when it's on it is classic. 2-3 foot average. Watch out for the stones in the trough near the beach that creates the shorey. It picks up any swell going, but works best off long period Northerly swells. Its an easy wave, but watch out for rocks, a strong rips and idiots!! Hazards - Rocks & crowds
