What we keep
- Members
- Your username, email address and a hashed password, plus the date and the connection address you signed up from (to slow down bots). Your email is for the verification and password links only. It is never shown and never passed on.
- Posts
- Comments and classified ads you post are public, under your username. Contact details on an ad are shown to verified members only.
- Cookies
- One to keep you logged in (sg_member) and one that protects forms from forgery (sg_form). Both are set by this site only.
- Not kept
- No newsletter, no tracking across other sites, no advertising profiles, nothing sold.
To close your account, use the contact form with the email you registered with and it's gone, posts included.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to see which breaks and pages get read, with Google signals and ad personalisation switched off, so it measures the site and nothing else. It sets Google's _ga cookies on this domain.
