Surf is the face height at the beach after the swell is filtered for the way Llandudno faces. Arrows show where the swell and wind are heading. Tide is the height at Llandudno above chart datum, rising ↑ or falling ↓; the rating drops when the tide is outside the window this break works on. Amber marks the sessions worth setting an alarm for. From Wednesday the swell comes from Météo-France's 10-day model, which is coarser than the 5 km German model used close in. Hours no model reaches are left blank, not shown as flat.

Exposure

Llandudno faces north. Swell inside the lit window reaches the beach; anything from behind the headlands scores nothing, however big the buoy says it is.

Comments

6 Sep 2005 · G Ive only ever seen surf at Llandudno once, years ago. But if you get up to Rhos on Sea point there is a really nice left hand point break there. Needs to be mid to high tide. Breaks over boulders. Road runs right on edge of shore so easy to check it out from the car. Usually works best later in the year, so some good surf yet to come in 05 for here.
