Surf is the face height at the beach after the swell is filtered for the way Whitesands faces. Arrows show where the swell and wind are heading. Tide is the height at Ramsey Sound above chart datum, rising ↑ or falling ↓; the rating drops when the tide is outside the window this break works on. Amber marks the sessions worth setting an alarm for. From Wednesday the swell comes from Météo-France's 10-day model, which is coarser than the 5 km German model used close in. Hours no model reaches are left blank, not shown as flat.

Exposure

Whitesands faces west. Swell inside the lit window reaches the beach; anything from behind the headlands scores nothing, however big the buoy says it is.

24 Mar 2005 · bradley I went there last summer. No surf first day. Crap weather. But the surf built up to 10', offshore wind. weather turned around. Stay away from the north end when its good, the locals don't like you getting in the way. If you go there make sure you go to the blue lagoon. you can jump off high ledges. no police, townies, only the lovely welsh humour.(locals+pikeys suck)
4 Feb 2005 · big vern yeah nightmare place stay away. Dreadfull
